An afternoon to remember! "In the Good Old Summertime" Tea Sunday, July 19th, 2:00 pm We're back at the David Davis Mansion Experience a favorite Victorian summer past time ~ a summer social. Picnic hats, lawn dresses and parasols will be on display while guests enjoy summer treats, sip tea and lemonade served with lots of Victorian fun. Victorian summer attire encouraged but not required. “ 1893 Chicago World's Fair” Tea Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th. 2:00 pm Let’s step back in time and go to the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair ~Columbian Exhibition! Over 27 million Victorians paid 50 cents apiece to experience an unforgettable day at the fair that offered a glimpse into the future of a new century; electricity, iced tea, Cracker Jack, the Ferris Wheel, Thomas Edison’s kinetograph, those scandalous belly dancers, displays from around the world, and oh, so much more!
