A Wee Bit of the Irish ~ Tea & Program
Sunday, March 17th, 2019 ~ 1:00-2:30
Vrooman Mansion Historic Bed & Breakfast
701 East Taylor Street
Bloomington, IL 61701

Join us as we journey through time for a program about the Irish in America and what it was like to be “in service”
in an upper class Victorian home. Learn about the daily life of servants. What was it like to leave their home in
Ireland and travel by steamship to America?  How many servants did it take to keep a big house running smoothly?
Did servants ever get time to themselves? What happened in their lives after they left service?
The tea takes place in the beautiful parlors of the Vrooman Mansion with a big variety of
traditional Irish tea foods and freshly steeped hot Irish tea for everyone!
The cost is $36.00 per person and tickets must be pre-paid.
Tickets are on sale now.
Please call NANCY PERZO at 1-309-827-2200.
No refunds 7 days prior to tea.
We hope to see you soon!
